This new system uses the keder track system, commonly known as awning track.
We offer this track in PVC, making it easy to cut the desired length to fit around doors and slides.
No one enjoys running screws into their RV, and we recently looked at trading in our fifth wheel, but the dealership was not a fan of the turn buttons we installed every 12 inches. So we needed to address that. That is when we decided to go with 3M’s VHB series of adhesive. We attach the track with the VHB tape and then place the screws every 2-3 feet instead of every 12 inches.
We also install screw snaps on your slideout side walls and sometimes will need to do so in other places that the track will not work.
We don’t send you a 110ft roll of material to deal with. So we buy the roll of 18oz PVC coated vinyl and size it to 8’ long by 61″ tall panels. The keder cord is center-sewn. Each panel connects using velcro.
We also apply the 3M VHB tape to the 7′5" track. The tape is ridiculously expensive – so no waste keeps the cost down. All that work and we sell the track, the VHB tape, and a panel with sewn-in keder as one unit! (We HIGHLY recommend screwing the track on every 2' and will do that during installation or will send the screws in our DIY QwikSkirt Kits.
We make the 5th wheel panel same as above, just a little bigger. These panels are 25′ long by 10’6″ tall and come with three tracks.
Everything included, like listed above, as one unit!
We currently offer our standard skirting in black and our insulated skirting in black or white.
